– Your child’s FULL name and class.
– The full name of the person picking up your child, their relationship to your child (Uncle/Aunty for example) and their contact number.

This message will then be passed to the class teacher for school pickup time.

Cox – Blue

Attenborough – Green

Yousuf – Yellow

What time does my child have lunch at school?

Please see the lunch timetable below for details of lunch timings at Claycots School for 2023/24. This may change on special days such as Christmas Lunch or when special activities take place such as a creative partner visiting the school.

I would like my child to join your Breakfast Club – what are the arrangements?

If you would like your child to join Breakfast Club at either campus you must email (enquiries@claycots.com) with your child’s full name and class.

These details will be passed to our family support team who run Breakfast Club. Breakfast Club is free of charge and your child must be dropped off at the school hall, via the pedestrian entrance, between 8:10am and 8:20am. Please note there is no parking available for parents at either site for drop off and we are unable to take children before 8:10am or after 8:20am.

I would like my child to go on a trip, what do I need to do?

Trips are booked at various times throughout the year when venues open bookings for large groups. Once the school has booked a venue a letter will be sent via email to you with details of the date/time and arrangements for the trip. You must book all trips via ParentPay. If your child is eligible for Pupil Premium and you require financial assistance with trip, please contact finance@claycots.com.

I am unable to access my ParentPay account – what can I do?

If you have previously accessed your ParentPay account
Unfortunately the school is unable to reset any passwords for accounts that have already been set up. You must go to the ParentPay website and click on ‘Forgotten my Password’ to regain access to your account.

If you have never accessed your ParentPay account
You may need a ParentPay activation letter. Please email us (enquiries@claycots.com) stating your child’s full name and class in order for us to produce an activation letter for you. This will either be emailed or sent home with your child for you.

What happens if my child is late to school?

School gates close at 08:45am and all children are expected to be in class by this time ready to start the school day. At Claycots we are working hard to improve attendance by reducing the number of commutative days of education lost per child which includes improving punctuality. If you are late you will be expected to:

– Accompany your child to main reception.
– Wait for a member of staff to greet you.
– Fill out a late form including your child’s name, class, reason for lateness and lunch order (Please note: Pupils that arrive late to school late will only be able to order a jacket potato for lunch).
– Treat our staff with courtesy.

If there is a genuine reason for absence or lateness you may be asked to produce proof such as an appointment card or text message for a medical appointment. We ask that as far as possible appointments are made outside of school time but understand this may not always be possible.

How does my child order lunch?
All pupils order their lunch in class at morning registration, you are unable to choose for your child on ParentPay or any other system. This promotes your child’s independence and gives them the chance to explore the delicious options available on our menu. If you have any concerns around you child’s meals please speak to your child’s class teacher in the first instance.
