Safeguarding

At Claycots we want all children to feel safe, happy, and secure when they come to school. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing and welfare of all children. We work hard to establish an environment where all children can identify trusted adults who will listen to any concerns that they have. Our safeguarding and family support team provide a range of services to children and families.

The Family Support teams at both campuses run regular events every week for parents to attend. Please see the timetable for 2023/24 below:

Online SaFety

The internet has changed all of our lives and for parents and carers this opens up a whole new world of things to be aware of. The ThinkuKnow website is helpful and offers many practical tips and simple guidance.

We hold regular online safety workshops for parents with our Family Support Teams. The information shared during these workshops can be viewed here:

We use clear and straightforward messages to talk to children about online safety. The posters below are useful resources to share at home.

Social Networks Safeguarding Guidelines for Parents

NSPCC’s Net Aware provides guidance to parents on social networking sites, apps and games which children use and how to keep children safe in today’s digital world.

Family Agreement

A family agreement is a good way to start positive family conversations around safe and responsible internet use, and to agree clear expectations and boundaries. Click on the link below to download a template:
